At night sometimes, I worry. Do you do that? I can wake up, and a thought will land that invites me toward a well-worn pathway of worry. It doesn’t work to fix my problems in my mind, alone, as I lay in bed. Sometimes my mind takes off and is running before I even realize what is occurring.
What does help?
“THANK YOU.” Just to say it. And repeat it – seems to open a door to re-connection to God, The Source. My Provider, Healer, Sustainer… the beginning and the end – from Him are all things… and to Him are all things… EVERYTHING that I need.
I just lie there and repeat, “Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You”… and peace returns… until I fall asleep, again, in His care.
Thank You God.
You see it all; know it all;
and have not abandoned me to figure everything out on my own.
You are my Helper and my Guide.
I am SECURE IN YOU.
THANK YOU!!!
Psalm 73
Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
As for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds.
